Karissa have you watched "I believe in unicorns" ? If you haven't I'd highly recommend. It's loss of innocence, girlhood, a girl running away with a guy, and it's overall very poetic I think you'd rlly like it. Anyways I'm so excited for your poetry album I just know I'll be listening to it over and over cuz I'm in love with your poetry in general

I like the beginning and end of this poem. Perhaps the spite that the speaker grapples with would be more appealing, easier to understand, if you described it more specifically. Just a few more concrete statements about what actually happened to you- carefully selected revelation, not a news report- would make the poem’s pathos more affecting to the audience, who don’t necessarily share the speaker’s (or your) feelings.

Only somebody who compares Lana with Jeff Buckley (singer songwriters both! lol), would call this a 'collection'. Power to you for exploring the delights of wax, but would have been better titled 'I've started collecting vinyl'. 'Records are a fashion accessory, don't you know?' Sorry, I shouldn't be mean. You've got decent taste at least. But hells nah, don't be scribbling your name on yr 'vinyls' 😮. Only problem with records being faddish off and on is prices have become so hefty. They were halcyon days, when everyone swapped out their collections in favour of CDs in the early 90s and bands largely stopped releasing anything on vinyl unless they were underground purists. We made out like bandits from then until as late as 2010 or so... $10 OPs that go for an order of magnitude more these currently. Thankfully people are highly suggestible and, just like cassettes are in vogue again, I guarantee that CDs will become highly sought after again and have a renaissance within the next 5 years. So make hay while you can get good stuff from any thrift store for a half dollar... that sunshine won't last. People think it's a joke but mark my words, as a trend (rather than a life long passion) LPs will become soooo September 10 in a while. Don't pass up quality DVD's either (VHS is hot right now)... The faster tech moves, the sooner formats become 'retro'. Word.
